A gift for someone who plays

Twelve celluloid picks in three thicknesses, four of each, in a printed iron tin that fits a coat pocket. You do not need to know what they use. Whichever one they reach for, they end up with four of them.

One tin. Twelve picks. Nothing else to decide.

Standard 351 teardrops in celluloid, the material most players have used their whole lives. Four cream, four red pearl, four black. Loose in the tin, two stacks of six — no plastic tray, nothing to throw away.

What is in it

Twelve, not three

Enough that they stop rationing them, and enough that losing one down the sofa stops mattering.

The three gauges

Thin, medium, heavy

Thin is brighter and suits strumming. Medium is what most players reach for. Heavy sits fuller under lead lines.

Pocket sized

The footprint of a credit card, about as thick as a pencil. It lives in a coat pocket or a gig bag.

How we work

Made properly, checked by hand

Our mark is four bars separated by gaps of just over a millimetre. Printing those gaps clean and open, on a pick and on a curved tin lid, is the detail this whole product turns on. It is the first thing we check on every batch.

We chose our factory ourselves over three weeks, approved the first tin by hand, and we still open the boxes when they arrive.

For the person buying

Hard to buy for. Not any more.

Anything serious costs hundreds and comes with opinions you cannot navigate. This is the thing every player needs constantly and nobody thinks to give them. Leave a note at checkout and we keep the price off the packing slip.
